Project members will participate in the 14th EuroSEAS Conference in Madrid, 1–3 September 2026, in a panel titled Mapping the Politics of Diplomacy in Southeast Asia, 1600–1950,” convened by Maarten Manse. The panel examines diplomatic practices and political negotiation in Southeast Asia across the early modern and modern periods.

Speakers include Preedee Hongsaton (Lund University / Linnaeus University), Isak Kronberg (Linnaeus University), Mathias Karlsmose (Stockholm University), and Tristan Mostert (Leiden University).
