Linnaeus University is announcing a salaried PhD position, funded by the Crafoord Foundation, to carry out the research project "Gender, Diplomacy and Imperialism: How Non-Male Actors and Transgender Practices Shaped the Colonial World in Maritime Southeast Asia".
The doctoral project will be an integrated part of the Historical Treaties of Southeast Asia Program. The position is intended to cover studies up to a PhD degree (i.e. a total of four years fulltime, including one year of mandatory courses), provided that the foundation grants an extension of the grant.
